This Fresh Creamy Strawberry Mousse is made with only three ingredients: strawberries, sugar, and eggs. No cream, no gelatin, and no bake. The perfect creamy mousse dessert to serve on any occasion.
This delicious dessert recipe has a special place in my heart and brings back wonderful childhood memories. My granny used to make me this fresh strawberry mousse every time I craved something sweet.
HOW TO MAKE FRESH STRAWBERRY MOUSSE
We start this recipe off by cleaning and slicing the strawberries. In a blender or food processor add the sliced strawberries and puree.
Add the sugar over the puree and stir a little until homogeneous.
In a saucepan add the strawberries puree and the sugar. Let it boil for 10 minutes until it thickens and looks a bit like a jam.
Start whisking the egg whites. When they become foamy, add the hot strawberry syrup gradually mixing at high speed for about 2 minutes. By adding the hot strawberry syrup over the egg whites they will become cooked, so don’t worry they will not be raw.
Look how nice it came out! When I turn the spatula the foam does not fall and it tastes so wonderful, just like the one from childhood.
Top with a few fresh mint leaves and enjoy! It’s especially delicious if refrigerated for approximately one hour or even longer before serving.
Enjoy it as a delicious sweet treat. It’s fresh, creamy, wholesome, and comforting. Our favorite dessert for summer picnics!
